Bio
Aurora is an award-winning writer director with a slate of genre projects in development, including sci-fi thriller Tipping Point with BFI Vision Awardee Jude Goldrei at Lunar Lander Films. She won the Euroscript writing competition for her folk horror fSpeak its Name which is in development with IE.Entertainment. She also writes new stories for Doctor Who on BBC radio with Big Finish. In 2023 she was announced as one of Broadcast's Hot Shots.
In 2021 she directed two episodes of The Break. A bold short form drama series focused on disabled talent. BBC Studios Drama with BBC Three produced the series and one of her episodes, Rude, was nominated for a Broadcast digital award. Aurora recently directed a week of Hollyoaks which aired Feb 2023.
After winning The Pitch Aurora shot sci-fi short Pulsar starring David Gyasi and Jessie Buckley. Pulsar has 2+ million views on DUST with distribution from Gunpowder & Sky. Sheffield based 104 Films produced her short film Struck, which screened at Sydney, Edinburgh and Cork International Film Festivals before being released online by Shortoftheweek.
Currently Aurora is being mentored by Chris Gernon (Ghosts, New Girl) through the Chanel4 RISE scheme with DANC TrippleC and she is also mentored by Debs Patterson (Halo, Willow).
Aurora has participated in Berlinale Talents, BAFTA Connect, BIFA Springboard, Reykjavik Talent Lab and Filmonomics with Mia Bays.
