Bindu de Stoppani

Bindu is a UK based Writer and Director, fluent in both English and Italian.

Bindu’s sophomore feature film, FINDING CAMILLE, shot in Switzerland, Italy, and Bosnia, premiered at the International Rome Film Festival in October 2017 to great acclaim. It was broadcast in Germany, France and Switzerland in 2018 (on Swiss television and ARTE). Following a cinema release, it was screened in UK by the independent cinema group Kino Digital.

For television Bindu created (and showran) the Netflix Original series AN ASTROLOGICAL GUIDE FOR BROKEN HEARTS, based on Silvia Zucca’s hit book, which Bindu also co-wrote and co-directed. Season 1 premiered in October 2021 and Season 2 was released in 190 countries in March 2022. With the support of Dancing Ledge Productions and ScreenSkill’s High-end Television (HETV)’s New Writers Programme. Bindu is currently developing projects in the UK and US, including a pilot commission with Sony/TriStar Pictures. 

Recent directing credits include two episodes of SILENT WITNESS (Season 26) and a block of SIGNORA VOLPE 2 for Acorn TV, which will be released in 2024.
