Bio

Erinn Dhesi is a playwright and performer. Her work often focuses on the effects of social media in everyday life. Erinn was recently commissioned by Chronic Insanity for a digital theatre production entitled POST NO EVIL and recently completed a digital R&D lab with The National’s Immersive Storytelling Studio/Tamasha Theatre. Erinn’s audio play QUEENS was part of the Offie Award Winning THE WAVES series by Holy Mountain/Tamasha; through the statue of Queen Victoria, Queens delves into the colonial history of Royal Leamington Spa from the perspective of its British Asian diaspora.

Erinn’s monologue CHANGE premiered at Tara Theatre as part of their new 2020: Collection 1 season. She also wrote 3 short audios plays for THE POWER OF PERSUASION a secondary school education project for Tamasha Theatre in collaboration with Bloomsbury Publishing (2021). Her award-winning one-woman show WIGS SNATCHED, PERCEPTIONS DESTROYED premiered at Vault Festival 2020 to critical acclaim, earning 4* reviews (A Younger Theatre & Broadwayworld.com). Her short plays SESH (2019) and THE WALK (2019) premiered at the Curve Theatre and a first full-length play #ADJUSTMENT received a rehearsed reading at the Belgrade Theatre (2017). Erinn is currently developing her latest theatre project NAKED BUTLER after completing the R&D at Tara Theatre in June 2023.

She has previously been part of BBC Writersroom – Coventry Voices (2021), Soho Theatre Writers Lab (2014), the Tamasha Theatre Playwrights group (2019-20), the Kali Theatre Discovery Programme (2018), and the Belgrade Theatre’s Critical Mass writers group (2017).
