Esther Coles

Esther is a writer, actor and podcaster. Currently she is co-writing a pilot for Expectation Entertainment with Phil Bowker (Phone Shop, 15 Storeys High)

She wrote the book for 'Nel's Place' (Sheep Soup Productions) – an original musical which was chosen in 2024 to headline the Lowry Theatre's 'Re-Writes' festival. Her radio comedy, 'The Allotment' was broadcast by Radio 4 in 2021 following her initial success co-creating the series 'Nurse' for Radio 4 and later BBC2 with Paul Whitehouse and David Cummings. Esther has also co-created 7 series of 'Queen Bees with Jane Horrocks and Esther Coles' for Hat Trick Productions, a podcast reflecting Esther's love of beekeeping.
