Bio
An experienced production designer whose balanced attitude achieves professional results through strong leadership, team skills and a minimum of fuss. Displaying a ‘can do’ approach to every project, Humphrey works in an industry where quick and accurate decision making is vital to success, without losing his sense of humour, enthusiasm and tact, especially under pressure. His reputation for maximising, at times, limited resources after careful and realistic budgeting never sacrifices design flair and quality.
As well as projects in Great Britain, his work has taken him to many countries – China, America, Norway, Canada, France, Portugal, Switzerland, Romania, Africa, North and Southern Ireland and Israel; necessitating close co-operation with technical crews from those countries.
With settings ranging from the re-creation of the 1800’s to the 1920’s and through the 1930’s, 50’s and 60’s to the present day, productions continue to challenge his ingenuity, imagination and proven budgetary discipline with his knowledge, understanding and patience.
