Jim Barne

Jim Barne has written music for films including THE GHOST TRAP, WORTH, and the Oscar-nominated LIVING. He won the London Chamber Orchestra’s young composer competition, and Best New Score at the Horrorhaus Film Festival. 

He also writes for musical theatre with lyricist & book writer Kit Buchan. Their first musical TWO STRANGERS (CARRY A CAKE ACROSS NEW YORK) won the Stage Debut Award and the Stiles & Drewe Prize. Its 2023 Kiln Theatre production broke box office records and transferred to the Criterion Theatre on the West End, where it ran for 170 performances. They met when they were nine years old, though they wish to make it clear that they are now almost four times that age.
