Joseph Wilde

Joseph is an award-winning writer for stage and screen.

For television, his credits include A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES, CASUALTY, ROYAL B**TARDS: RISE OF THE TUDORS and DOCTORS. He has developed projects with many of the UK's leading production companies including Red, Aardman, Company Pictures/C4, The Imaginarium/Viaplay, Two Cities Television, Kudos, HTM Television, Synchronicity Films/C4, Watford & Essex/Fremantle and 108 Media. His calling card script LADY JUSTICE was selected for the Brit List.

For theatre, Joseph’s breakout play CUDDLES was named one of the best plays of 2016 by the New York Times (“a sensational little shocker”) and the New York Post. More recently, his latest play IN THE WEEDS was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe 2022, where it won a Summerhall Lustrum Award. Joseph also won the prestigious Imison Award in 2014 for his radio play THE LOVING BALLAD OF CAPTAIN BATEMAN.

For film, Joseph is currently adapting CUDDLES for Nicole Kidman’s Blossom Films and also writing an original screenplay for Blossom Films. He has also been hired to rewrite feature-length genre screenplays for Millennium Media and Salon Pictures/BFI, and he is currently working with director Rob Savage and producer Rob Watson (Air Street Films).
