Katie Elin-Salt

Katie is a writer and actor from Bridgend, South Wales. Her credits include her upcoming adaptation of RED RIDING HOOD at The Sherman Theatre, HANSEL & GRETEL (Sherman Theatre), CELEBRATED VIRGINS (Theatr Clwyd) and her one woman show developed with Dirty Protest. Katie has previously been commissioned by Sherman Theatre, Chippy Lane, RWCMD, Iris Theatre, Out of Joint and Far Away Plays.

Katie was a Theatr Clwyd Writer in Residence 2020/21, was selected to be a member of the Royal Court/NTW Welsh Writers’ Group and is a proud member of the Chippy Lane Welsh Female Writers’ group. Katie was shortlisted for BBC Wales Writer in Residence 2020 and BBC Comedy/Drama Room 2021. Katie is currently developing her TV pilot.
