Mark Evans

Mark is a vastly experienced TV and radio comedy writer and script editor. He has recently written BEFORE WE DIE series 2 (Eagle Eye/C4) and the animated series QUENTIN BLAKE’S BOX OF TREASURES (CBBC). He created and wrote five series of Sony Award winning comedy BLACK EXPECTATIONS (Radio 4), plus a Christmas Special and mini-series of THE BLEAK OLD SHOP OF STUFF (BBC Two). In 2023 Mark adapted BLEAK EXPECTATIONS for stage and it had a successful run at the Criterion Theatre in the West End. 

Amongst his large number of other credits, he was a major contributor to and appearer in five series of BAFTA-winning That Mitchell & Webb Look; did the same for three series of CBBC’s Sorry, I’ve Got No Head; has written multiple episodes of children’s shows such as Hank Zipzer, Dani’s Castle and Millie Inbetween; co-wrote two episodes of BBC Three’s Bluestone 42; is script editor for R4’s Reluctant Persuaders; and recently contributed material to global hit film Johnny English Strikes Again. He’s constantly working on new ideas and currently has projects in development with BBC Studios, Audible and Hat Trick.
