Robert Chevara

Robert is an international freelance director in theatre and opera. Recent productions include: VINCENT RIVER by Philip Ridley (Park Theatre and transfer to Trafalgar Studios) SEX/CRIME by Alexis Gregory (The Glory and Soho Theatre upstairs) SUOR ANGELICA AND GIANNI SCHICCI (Royal Northern College of Music) IN THE BAR OF A TOKYO HOTEL by Tennessee Williams (Charing Cross Theatre). Past work includes: in opera his own version of DIE FLEDERMAUS (King’s Head Theatre) and West End Girl – his own version of Puccini’s LA FANCIULLA DEL OUEST (King’s Head); and in theatre, Tennessee Williams’ VIEUX CARRE (King’s Head and transfer to Charing Cross Theatre) which won ‘Best Revival of a Play’ award 2013 from Front Row Dress, the Danish premiere of Mike Bartlett’s COCK AND BULL at the Aalborg Theatre, Denmark.  Upcoming work includes IN THE BAR OF A TOKYO HOTEL by Tennessee Williams at the Charing Cross Theatre.
