Bio
Samantha specialises in writing female-led, working class comedy as well as writing for young audiences alongside her writing partner Samantha Lyden.
Recent projects include: Writing on JUSTIN'S HOUSE series 5&6 and developing a new sitcom CATCH YOURSELF ON with Sky. Their short, Neil’s Yard directed by Matt Holt, was selected for the BAFTA qualifying, Aesthetica Film Festival 2019 and won the 2019 Funny Women Award. In 2021, they were Comedy 50:50 finalists for the UKTV series commission and in 2022 their script Prunella, was selected for a live showcase by Female Pilot Club. They are also regular writers for Cartoon Network.
Her foray into writing came back in 2009, when she co-wrote topical comedy, FACEBOOK FABLES, which ran at Edinburgh Festival’s Gilded Balloon, to much critical acclaim. Other stage credits include; IT’S ALL RELATIVE (TR Stratford East)
Samantha has a background in producing and tour booking children’s theatre. She also co-founded her own theatre company, Pigtails Productions. Samantha is also an actress and improvisor.
