Bio
Vicky Moran is a theatre director who works predominantly with new writing. Her work uses strong and integrated visual and aural aesthetics that are often playful, visceral, and imaginatively ambitious in form. Vicky was the Resident Assistant Director at Cardboard Citizens (Jerwood Arts Bursary Award Winner 2017-2019) and since then has been a Project Associate for The Young Vic on their INNOVATE programme, a Mentor Director for NT Connections, and Artist in Residence at Arts Depot. Vicky is currently part of the 2024 cohort for the National Theatre Studio Directors Course.
Alongside her professional work, Vicky is extremely passionate about creating text-based and devised work with young people and community groups. She has worked extensively in hostels, prisons, with refugee groups and youth theaters across the country. She has delivered creative projects for Donmar Warehouse, Kiln Theatre, Lyric Hammersmith, Clean Break, Actors Touring Company and The Old Vic. Vicky is also a script reader for The Bush and The Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting as well the director of female-led company In Her Strength.
